COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets Newly Appointed Commander National Strategic Command

Rawalpindi, The Gulf Observer: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, on Monday met the newly appointed Commander National Strategic Command (CNSC), General Syed Aamer Raza, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting took place following General Syed Aamer Raza’s assumption of command as Commander National Strategic Command.

During the meeting, Field Marshal Asim Munir congratulated General Syed Aamer Raza on taking over his new responsibilities and extended his best wishes for success in the discharge of his duties.

Earlier in the day, General Syed Aamer Raza was presented with a Guard of Honour to mark his appointment as Commander National Strategic Command.

As part of the ceremony, the newly appointed commander laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha in tribute to the country’s martyrs, honoring their sacrifices in the service of the nation.

The ceremonial events reflected the Pakistan Army’s tradition of paying homage to the sacrifices of its personnel while marking important leadership transitions within the armed forces, the ISPR statement said.
