UAE President Receives Abu Dhabi Civil Defence USAR Team

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority’s UAE Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Team, congratulating its members on successfully completing their third International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) External Reclassification and retaining the prestigious Heavy classification under the United Nations-affiliated INSARAG framework.

During the meeting, His Highness praised the team’s remarkable achievement, describing it as a testament to their continued professionalism, operational excellence, and exceptional capability to respond effectively to a wide range of emergencies and disasters.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said the accomplishment further enhances the UAE’s international reputation in humanitarian action and reinforces the country’s unwavering commitment to assisting communities affected by disasters and crises worldwide. He noted that the UAE’s high level of preparedness has established it as a trusted global partner in humanitarian response and disaster management.

His Highness also highlighted the USAR Team’s role as a model of excellence in operational readiness and emergency response capabilities, expressing pride in the team’s distinguished representation of the UAE on international platforms.
