Direct Air Connectivity Between Azerbaijan and Pakistan Expanded with Airblue’s Inaugural Flights

Baku, The Gulf Observer: A significant milestone has been achieved in bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan with the launch of inaugural direct flights by Airblue connecting Baku and Lahore.
The introduction of Airblue’s new service has increased the total number of weekly direct flights between the two countries to ten, reflecting growing people-to-people contacts and enhanced connectivity.
Currently, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) operates six weekly flights, while Pakistan International Airlines runs two flights per week. Airblue’s addition of two weekly flights further strengthens the air link between the two brotherly nations.
The expanded flight operations are expected to boost tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges, while also facilitating easier travel for business communities and diaspora between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
Officials view the development as a positive step toward deepening strategic cooperation and strengthening longstanding friendly relations between the two countries.
