Ilham Aliyev Receives UAE Energy Minister, Discusses Strategic Partnership and Renewable Energy Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on May 17 received Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates.

During the meeting, the UAE minister conveyed the greetings of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to the Azerbaijani leader.

President Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings and asked Suhail Al Mazrouei to convey his own regards to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The UAE minister also congratulated Azerbaijan on Baku’s hosting of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum, describing the event as an important platform for addressing key issues related to the global urban development agenda.

During the talks, both sides praised the continued expansion of Azerbaijan-UAE relations based on strategic partnership. They highlighted the growing cooperation across a range of sectors, including political, economic, energy, and particularly renewable energy fields.
