Indonesia Condemns Israeli Actions Against Global Sumud Flotilla Volunteers

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: Indonesia has strongly condemned what it described as “inhumane actions” carried out by Israel against volunteers participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0, reaffirming its commitment to securing the release of detained Indonesian citizens.
In a statement posted on social media platform X on Thursday, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the actions taken against the flotilla volunteers were contrary to humanitarian principles and constituted a clear violation of international law.
The ministry stressed that the Indonesian government remains focused on efforts to secure the release of all Indonesian nationals who have been detained in connection with the incident.
According to the statement, since the initial departure of the Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Indonesian diplomatic missions have maintained close coordination with various parties to ensure the safety and protection of Indonesian citizens involved in the mission.
The ministry reiterated that the protection of Indonesian citizens remains the government’s highest priority and affirmed that authorities will continue monitoring the release process until all Indonesians are able to return home safely as soon as possible.
The Indonesian government also renewed its criticism of Israel’s military actions against the flotilla, saying such measures undermine international humanitarian norms and legal obligations.
