Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry has secured 13 strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at the INNOPROM 2026 international industrial trade fair in Russia, aimed at strengthening industrial downstreaming, attracting investment, and expanding market access across the Eurasian region.

Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said Indonesia’s participation as the Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 had significantly enhanced the country’s position in the Eurasian market.

“Indonesia’s participation as a Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 has strengthened our position in the Eurasian market. This is reflected in the strong interest shown by international industry players seeking collaboration with our domestic industrial sectors,” the minister said in a statement issued on Saturday.

During the exhibition, the Indonesian delegation held bilateral meetings with government representatives from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan, as well as officials from the Russian regions of Chelyabinsk, Kirov, and Sverdlovsk.

The discussions resulted in a series of cooperation commitments covering trade, industrial downstreaming, industrial estate development, supply chain integration, technology transfer, and human resource development. These commitments were formalized through 13 agreements involving both government institutions and private sector partners.

Among the signed accords were high-level cooperation frameworks between Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry and Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, in addition to sector-specific agreements with Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and the three participating Russian regions.

Minister Kartasasmita said the agreements would serve as a foundation for strategic joint ventures across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, heavy equipment, metallurgy, the halal industry, and trade development.

Meanwhile, Director General of Resilience, Regionalization, and International Industrial Access, Tri Supondy, said the successful negotiations reflected growing international confidence in Indonesia’s industrial capabilities.

He expressed optimism that the partnerships established during INNOPROM 2026 would create wider opportunities for investment, trade, and industrial collaboration while enhancing the competitiveness and value-added capacity of Indonesia’s manufacturing sector.
