Iran Crowned Champion at 2024 World Taekwondo Junior Championships

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iran emerged victorious at the 2024 World Taekwondo Junior Championships, held from October 1 to 6 in Chuncheon, South Korea, topping the medal table with a remarkable haul of 7 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

Iranian junior athletes dominated both the men’s and women’s sections of the prestigious competition. The women’s team secured 4 gold and 1 silver, earning them the championship title in their category. South Korea and Croatia finished second and third, respectively.

The men’s team also delivered a stellar performance, claiming 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals, securing Iran the championship in the men’s section as well. South Korea took the second spot, while Russia and Uzbekistan shared third place.

This victory marks a significant achievement for Iran in the global taekwondo arena, further solidifying the country’s reputation as a powerhouse in the sport.
