Iranian President Praises Pakistan’s Role in Mediation, Calls for Regional Peace and Unity

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Masoud Pezeshkian has commended Pakistan’s role in mediation efforts and ceasefire initiatives, describing it as “effective and responsible,” while appreciating Islamabad’s hosting of negotiations involving the Iranian delegation.
In an official statement, the Iranian president lauded Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement, noting that its efforts contributed positively to promoting dialogue and reducing tensions in the region.
President Pezeshkian reaffirmed that Iran seeks peace, stability, and fraternal relations across the region. However, he underscored that the Iranian people have lost trust in the United States due to past breaches of commitments, stressing that Iran’s rights must be upheld in accordance with international laws and principles.
He further stated that the United States would not emerge as a victor in the ongoing conflict, warning that continued tensions would result in serious consequences for both regional countries and the wider global community.
Referring to ongoing geopolitical dynamics, the Iranian president accused the “Zionist regime” of pursuing its strategic objectives, expressing concern over its role in escalating tensions.
He expressed hope that unity among the Muslim Ummah would prevent the realization of such ambitions, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in maintaining regional balance.
President Pezeshkian also stressed that ensuring regional security remains the responsibility of countries within the region, calling for greater cooperation and mutual understanding to address shared challenges.
