Iranian President Thanks PM Shehbaz Sharif for Attending Official Funeral Ceremony

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed gratitude to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for attending what Iranian authorities described as the farewell and official funeral ceremonies for the late Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, reaffirming the enduring bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two neighboring nations.
In a message shared on his official X account, President Pezeshkian thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for participating in the ceremony and acknowledged the presence of the senior Pakistani delegation.
The Iranian president also expressed appreciation for what he described as the sincere condolences and support extended by the Government and people of Pakistan during the period of mourning.
“We will never forget this solidarity and support,” President Pezeshkian said, emphasizing that Iran highly values Pakistan’s gesture of sympathy and friendship.
Highlighting the longstanding relationship between the two countries, Pezeshkian stated that the peoples of Iran and Pakistan have consistently shared each other’s joys and sorrows, standing together in a spirit of solidarity and brotherhood.
The message underscored the close historical, cultural, and diplomatic ties between Tehran and Islamabad, with the Iranian president reaffirming the importance of continued mutual support and cooperation between the neighboring countries.
