Azerbaijan, Jordan Sign Visa-Free Travel Agreement and Energy Cooperation MoU

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan and Jordan have further strengthened their bilateral relations with the signing of two key agreements aimed at enhancing people-to-people exchanges and expanding cooperation in the energy sector.

The documents were signed by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, and Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Al Safadi.

The first document, titled the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the Mutual Abolition of Visa Requirements for Holders of Ordinary Passports, provides for visa-free travel for holders of ordinary passports from both countries, facilitating greater mobility and strengthening people-to-people contacts.

The second document, a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Energy, was signed between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy and Jordan’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. The MoU aims to promote collaboration in the energy sector and expand bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The signing of the two agreements reflects the shared commitment of Azerbaijan and Jordan to deepening their strategic partnership and broadening cooperation across multiple sectors, including mobility, energy, and economic development.
