Jordan’s King Abdullah II Receives Oman’s Shura Council Chairman

Amman, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan on Tuesday received Chairman of Oman’s Shura Council Khalid Al Maawali and his accompanying delegation, with discussions focusing on regional developments and efforts to ease tensions.

The meeting, attended by Crown Prince Hussein, addressed recent developments in the region, including the need to de-escalate ongoing tensions and safeguard the security and sovereignty of Arab states, according to a statement issued by the Royal Court.

King Abdullah underscored the deep-rooted and longstanding relations between Jordan and Oman, reaffirming Jordan’s readiness to further strengthen bilateral ties across various fields.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen Qadi, and Oman’s Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Fahad bin Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al Ojaili.
