Kampong Sungai Besar Mosque Marks End of Syawal with Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan, The Gulf Observer: As the month of Syawal draws to a close, the Kampong Sungai Besar Mosque’s Subuh Tedarus congregants commemorated the occasion with a heartfelt Khatam Al-Quran ceremony, reaffirming their spiritual devotion and communal unity.
The ceremony marked the successful completion of all 30 juzuk of the Al-Quran, serving as a reflection of gratitude and spiritual achievement during the holy period. It also highlighted the enduring bonds of brotherhood and the strong sense of faith that characterise the Kampong Sungai Besar community.
The ceremony commenced with a congregational recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the recitation of selected short chapters from Surah Ad-Dhuha to Surah An-Nas. The session was led by Abdul Rahim bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tamin, who also led the Tahtim and Doa Khatam.
Kampong Sungai Besar Mosque Imam, Muhd Hazman bin Haji Mohd Hairol Azme, concluded the event with the recitation of the Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam and Doa Tahlil, praying for the continued peace, prosperity, and well-being of the nation and its leadership.
The ceremony was a meaningful close to the sacred season, showcasing the village’s steadfast commitment to Islamic values and community togetherness.
