King Abdullah II Discusses Strengthening Jordan-China Economic and Technology Cooperation

Amman, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan on Thursday met with Jin Lei, Secretary of the Communist Party of China in Shenzhen, to discuss ways of further strengthening Jordanian-Chinese relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, according to a statement from the Royal Court.

The meeting focused on exploring new opportunities for economic and technological partnerships between Jordan and China, particularly through cooperation with the city of Shenzhen, one of China’s leading global centers for industry, technology and innovation.

The discussions also addressed opportunities for exchanging expertise and enhancing cooperation with Shenzhen in sectors that could contribute to economic development and technological advancement in Jordan.

The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and expanding practical cooperation between the two countries, particularly in high-value economic and technology-related fields.

Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah, Jordan’s Ambassador to China Hussam Husseini, and China’s Ambassador to Jordan Guo Wei attended the meeting.
