King Abdullah II Inaugurates New Facilities for Royal Armoured Brigade
Amman, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), on Monday inaugurated new buildings for the 40th King Hussein bin Talal Royal Armoured Brigade, a key formation of the Central Military Region, underscoring Jordan’s continued commitment to strengthening its defence capabilities.
Accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah was briefed on the implementation phases of the project and the facilities established as part of the new brigade complex, according to a statement issued by the Royal Court.
During the visit, the King reviewed the brigade’s operational, training, and logistical readiness, as well as ongoing development plans and programmes designed to enhance its combat capabilities and improve the professional skills of its personnel. The initiatives form part of the Jordan Armed Forces’ broader modernisation and development strategy aimed at maintaining a highly capable and responsive military.
King Abdullah praised the dedication and professionalism of Jordan Armed Forces personnel for their unwavering role in protecting the Kingdom and preserving its security and stability. He expressed confidence in the courage, competence, and preparedness of the armed forces to effectively address evolving challenges and safeguard the nation’s interests.
The inauguration reflects Jordan’s continued investment in strengthening its military infrastructure and advancing the operational readiness of its armed forces in support of national security and regional stability.
