Morocco Signs Digital Identity Partnership to Boost Public Services

Digital Identity

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform and the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) signed a landmark agreement today in Rabat to expand the use of digital identity services in public administration.

The agreement, signed by Minister Delegate Amal Falah Saghroutni and DGSN Director General Abdellatif Hammouchi, aims to streamline administrative processes and improve public service delivery through secure digital systems.

Anchored in the “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy and royal directives, the deal focuses on connecting government institutions and enabling online access to services using Morocco’s enhanced national electronic ID card. The system will allow for third-party digital identity verification, reducing the need for in-person visits.

Authorities say the partnership will modernize public administration and address long-standing complaints from citizens about delays and inefficiencies in accessing services.
