Nation Observes Eid-ul-Azha with Religious Fervor; President and Prime Minister Offer Prayers in Their Hometowns

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated across Pakistan today June 7, 2025 with religious zeal and reverence, as prominent political leaders including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered Eid prayers in their respective hometowns.

President Zardari performed Eid prayers at the mosque within Aiwan-e-Sadr, joined by Speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, and other dignitaries. Prayers were offered for the country’s security, stability, and prosperity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the Eid congregation at Model Town Mosque in Lahore, where PML-N Vice President Hamza Shehbaz was also present. After the prayer, both the President and Prime Minister exchanged Eid greetings with attendees at their respective mosques.

In other parts of the country, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman offered Eid prayers in his native village of Abdul Khel, extending Eid greetings to the entire Muslim Ummah.

  • Former Punjab CM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at Jamia Masjid Khatam-un-Nabiyeen, Jhandiwal, Gujrat
  • Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain at Jamia Masjid Eidgah
