OECD Delegation Visits Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Justice
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Representatives from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) visited Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Justice to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation for developing effective and sustainable policies, creating data-driven regulatory approaches, and improving mechanisms for regulatory impact assessments.
Deputy Minister of Justice Alisher Karimov provided an overview of the ministry’s work and outlined promising projects. During the discussions, the parties reviewed the OECD’s recommendations concerning public administration reforms in Uzbekistan and examined their implementation progress.
OECD representatives acknowledged the significant progress achieved by the Ministry of Justice in enhancing legislative processes and increasing the efficiency of lawmaking. The discussions also focused on future collaboration, with particular emphasis on support from OECD experts in regulatory impact assessments.
