Oman and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Bilateral Economic Cooperation

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: On Saturday, H E Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman, embarked on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the objective of fortifying and augmenting bilateral relations and cooperation between Oman and Saudi Arabia. This diplomatic initiative underscores the commitment to fostering stronger economic ties and collaborative endeavors for mutual benefit.

During his visit, H E Yousef engaged in discussions with his Saudi counterparts, including Khalid bin Abdulaziz al Falih, Minister of Investment, Bandar al Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, and Faisal bin Fadhil al Ibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning. These meetings served as a platform to explore avenues for strengthening collaboration in trade, industry and investment promotion.

The primary focus of these discussions was on addressing challenges in bilateral trade, enhancing trade exchange and fostering strategic economic partnerships in diverse sectors. The talks also delved on continuing to boost trade exchange and promoting Omani exports in Saudi Arabia, reflecting a commitment to mutual economic growth and development.

H H Faisal bin Turki al Said, Oman’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and several senior officials from both countries attended the meetings. Their presence underscored the significance of these dialogues in shaping the future of economic cooperation between Oman and Saudi Arabia.
