Oman Confirms Rome as Venue for Second Round of Iran-US Talks

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman has confirmed that Rome will host the second round of talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America this Saturday.
The discussions aim to advance progress toward achieving a just, binding, and sustainable agreement between the two sides, amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to address longstanding tensions and nuclear-related concerns.
The Sultanate of Oman reiterated its commitment to facilitating and mediating the negotiations, noting that Rome was selected as the venue for logistical reasons. The Omani government also extended its gratitude to the Italian authorities for their critical support in organizing and preparing for the high-level meeting.
“Oman is pleased to be playing a constructive role in this important diplomatic engagement and appreciates the cooperation of all parties involved,” the statement read.
This round of talks builds on previous indirect engagements between Tehran and Washington and reflects Oman’s continued efforts to serve as a neutral and trusted mediator in regional and international diplomacy.
