Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Field Marshal Asim Munir, along with the Chief of Air Staff and Chief of Naval Staff, extended congratulations to the nation on the 28th anniversary of Youm-e-Takbeer, commemorating Pakistan’s historic nuclear tests conducted on May 28, 1998.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Youm-e-Takbeer serves as a reminder of the historic achievement when Pakistan emerged as a nuclear power, restoring strategic balance in South Asia.

The military’s media wing described the occasion as a symbol of national unity, resilience and sovereignty, reflecting Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its territorial integrity and national dignity.

ISPR stated that the landmark achievement was made possible through the visionary leadership of the country, as well as the extraordinary contributions of scientists, engineers and dedicated personnel. It also acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces and the people of Pakistan in strengthening the country’s defence capabilities.

The statement further emphasized that Pakistan’s defence and strategic capability is a sacred national trust that guarantees peace, stability, regional integrity and an effective deterrence posture in the region.

The armed forces reaffirmed their unwavering resolve to defend the homeland and reiterated their commitment to ensuring the country’s security, stability and prosperity.

On this significant occasion, the statement added, the nation collectively renews its pledge for unity, vigilance and a stronger, more prosperous Pakistan while expressing gratitude before Almighty Allah.
