President Berdimuhamedov Receives Kawasaki Heavy Industries Vice President

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Kenji Sanada, Vice President of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., on June 29 to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral economic cooperation and strengthening the long-standing partnership between Turkmenistan and the Japanese company.
During the meeting, Sanada expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to meet the Turkmen leader and congratulated President Berdimuhamedov and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, on the anniversary of Arkadag, the region’s first “smart” city.
The Japanese executive also praised Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s contribution to Turkmenistan’s socioeconomic development and growing international standing, and requested President Berdimuhamedov to convey his heartfelt birthday congratulations to the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
President Berdimuhamedov thanked the guest for his kind remarks and noted that Sanada’s visit would include negotiations on expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kawasaki Heavy Industries. He expressed confidence that the discussions would provide fresh momentum to the further development of bilateral partnership and wished the delegation a productive stay in the country.
The President emphasized that relations between Turkmenistan and Japan are based on mutual respect, trust and support, describing them as long-term and strategic in nature.
He highlighted the important role played by Japanese companies in unlocking Turkmenistan’s economic potential, noting that for many years leading Japanese firms have successfully implemented major projects in the country’s gas and chemical industries.
President Berdimuhamedov also underscored the productive cooperation established with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, stating that the two sides have accumulated substantial experience through the successful implementation of projects across various sectors.
For his part, Kenji Sanada thanked the Turkmen leadership for the confidence placed in the company and the favorable conditions created for its operations in Turkmenistan. He reaffirmed Kawasaki Heavy Industries’ commitment to fulfilling all of its contractual obligations and continuing its cooperation with the country.
The meeting concluded with President Berdimuhamedov wishing the Vice President of Kawasaki Heavy Industries continued success in his work and expressing confidence in the further strengthening of the mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and the Japanese company.
