President of Azerbaijan Announces Trans-Caspian Fiber-Optic Cable to Become Operational in Coming Months

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has said that cooperation with Turkic states in the field of digital development is progressing successfully, with significant momentum being recorded in regional connectivity initiatives.
Addressing the informal Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States held in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, the President noted that the implementation of the “Digital Silk Road” project aimed at enhancing digital integration between Europe and Asia is currently underway.
He further emphasized that, under this initiative, the Trans-Caspian fiber-optic cable line between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan is expected to become operational in the coming months, marking a major step forward in strengthening digital infrastructure and intercontinental data connectivity across the region.
