President of UAE Meets Turkish FM Hakan Fidan
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: In a significant diplomatic engagement, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received His Excellency Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
At the onset of the meeting, His Excellency the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the heartfelt condolences of His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Türkiye, expressing sincere sympathy over the passing of Sheikh Hazza bin Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the extensive discussions, both sides delved into strategies to bolster cooperation between the UAE and Türkiye across various domains, underscoring the strength of their strategic ties and comprehensive economic partnership.
President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Turkish Foreign Minister also deliberated on the evolving developments in the Middle East, focusing on regional and international endeavors to secure an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Amidst the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, they emphasized the indispensable role of the international community in advancing a just, comprehensive, and enduring peace in the region. Emphasizing the two-state solution as a viable pathway, they underscored its significance in ensuring a secure future for the region’s populace and upholding peace and stability.
President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated the UAE’s steadfast support for initiatives aimed at fostering security, stability, and peace at both regional and international levels.
The distinguished gathering was attended by prominent figures including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court; and Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security.
