President Prabowo Chairs Strategic Cabinet Meeting on Education and National Security

Bogor, The Gulf Observer: Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto convened a closed-door meeting with key cabinet members and senior state officials on Saturday evening to deliberate on strategic national issues, with a particular focus on education and security.

According to a statement shared via the official Instagram account of Presiden Republik Indonesia, the limited meeting was held at the president’s residence in Hambalang, Bogor, and attended by members of the Kabinet Merah Putih.

The discussions coincided with National Education Day, with the president emphasizing education policy reforms and the advancement of downstreaming strategies aimed at benefiting the public. Broader national priorities, including defense and security policies, were also reviewed in light of ongoing global tensions.

Among the senior officials present were Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto. Other attendees included State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Top military and law enforcement officials also participated in the meeting, including Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Senior leadership from the army and navy, as well as intelligence and communications agencies, were also in attendance.

The meeting underscores the Indonesian government’s focus on strengthening national resilience through coordinated policy measures in education, security, and public welfare sectors.
