Turkmenistan Steps Up Preparations for Participation in World Urban Forum in Baku

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has instructed relevant authorities to ensure comprehensive preparations for the country’s participation in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum 13, set to take place in Baku.

The directive was issued during an online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which reviewed Turkmenistan’s macroeconomic performance for the January–April 2026 period.

The World Urban Forum 13 is scheduled to be held from May 17 to 22 and is being organized through close cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.

The high-level forum aims to promote the exchange of global best practices in sustainable urban development, smart city initiatives, and innovative solutions to address urban challenges, providing a key platform for international collaboration in shaping the cities of the future.
