President Putin to Undertake State Visit to China

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese President Xi Jinping has extended an invitation to Russian President Vladimir Putin to embark on a state visit to China, slated to take place from May 16 to 17, announced foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying on Tuesday.
In what marks President Putin’s inaugural state visit subsequent to assuming office for a new term, the announcement was reiterated by Wang Wenbin, another spokesperson from the foreign ministry, during a routine press briefing.
Given that this year commemorates the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Russia, the forthcoming visit assumes added significance. During his time in China, President Putin will engage in discussions with President Xi Jinping encompassing a broad spectrum of issues, including bilateral relations, collaboration across diverse sectors, as well as pertinent international and regional affairs of mutual interest.
Wang emphasized that both leaders are anticipated to deliberate upon avenues for fortifying bilateral cooperation and enhancing strategic coordination, thereby further consolidating the enduring friendship between China and Russia.
