President Rahmon Inaugurates Sohili Unji Health Center in Bobojon Ghafurov District

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on Tuesday inaugurated the new administrative building of the Sohili Unji Health Center in the Unji rural community of Bobojon Ghafurov District, marking another step toward strengthening the country’s healthcare sector and improving medical services for the public.

The health center was constructed by local entrepreneur Abdullo Abdulloev and is equipped with 50 patient rooms, 100 beds, and provides employment opportunities for 30 people.

During the inauguration ceremony, President Rahmon described the facility as an important contribution to the development of Tajikistan’s healthcare system and the enhancement of the quality and accessibility of medical services. He highly appreciated the quality of construction, the installation of modern medical equipment, and the center’s service capacity, praising the entrepreneur’s initiative as a commendable example of private-sector participation in social development.

The Sohili Unji Health Center comprises admission and inpatient departments, physiotherapy services, neurology, gynecology, and cardiovascular care units. The facility is staffed by qualified medical professionals and provides healthcare services in accordance with modern medical standards.

The landscaped surroundings of the center, featuring green spaces and modern seating areas, have also been designed to provide patients with a comfortable environment for rest and recovery.

During his interaction with officials, President Rahmon emphasized that attracting private investment into the healthcare sector remains one of the government’s key social policy priorities. He noted that such initiatives contribute significantly to improving public health services while creating new employment opportunities.

The newly inaugurated Sohili Unji Health Center is expected to serve residents of Bobojon Ghafurov District and neighboring areas, making a meaningful contribution to strengthening healthcare services and promoting community well-being.
