Prime Minister of Qatar Holds Phone Discussion with Russian Foreign Minister

Doha, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, held a phone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, His Excellency Sergey Lavrov, on Saturday.

The two officials discussed avenues to strengthen cooperation between Qatar and Russia and explored strategies to enhance bilateral relations. The conversation also addressed pressing regional and international issues, including the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict through dialogue and diplomacy. He highlighted Qatar’s humanitarian mediation efforts, specifically its initiative to reunite children with their families, which underscores the country’s dedication to alleviating the human impact of the crisis.

The leaders also exchanged views on developments in the Gaza Strip, the Occupied Palestinian territories, and Syria, underscoring the importance of collective efforts to address these regional challenges.
