Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Congratulates Sultan of Oman on Eid-ul-Adha

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif telephoned His Excellency Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of the Sultanate of Oman, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha and conveyed his heartfelt Eid greetings to him. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders prayed for unity and solidarity among the Muslim Ummah, and also offered special prayers for the oppressed people of Gaza.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister highlighted the close and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Oman and stressed the need to further promote bilateral cooperation in all sectors.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Sultan of Oman for taking a positive and constructive stance during the recent Pak-India tensions and appreciated his support for de-escalation and dialogue.

At the end of the discussion, the Prime Minister reiterated the invitation to His Excellency Sultan Haitham for an official visit to Pakistan, which he accepted, and also invited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

This contact was not only an exchange of Eid greetings but also an important step in further strengthening the close ties between the two countries.
