Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Strengthen Ties with Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in February
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Under its “Vision Central Asia” policy, Pakistan is actively working to enhance relations with Central Asian states and strengthen ties with key countries in the Eurasian Caucasus region. In line with this strategy, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan during the third week of February.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and several key federal ministers. The visit will include agreements in various sectors, particularly focusing on enhancing economic cooperation with both nations.
Before returning home, the Prime Minister will spend two days in Uzbekistan, where he is expected to invite Uzbek authorities to utilize Karachi Port for their transit trade. Additionally, significant trade agreements with Uzbekistan are anticipated during the visit.
