Qatar's PM Meets US National Security Advisor to Discuss Bilateral Relations and Regional Issues

Doha, The Gulf Observer: Today, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, met with the US National Security Advisor, His Excellency Jake Sullivan, who is currently visiting Qatar.

The two leaders engaged in discussions centered on the strategic relationship between Qatar and the United States, exploring ways to further strengthen and support this longstanding partnership. They also addressed key regional issues, including the ongoing crisis in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as the situation in Syria.

Both parties emphasized the importance of preserving Syria’s unity and stressed the need for a peaceful transition of power, with an inclusive political process grounded in UN Security Council Resolution 2254. They also reiterated their commitment to enhancing efforts aimed at protecting civilians and combating terrorism in the region.

The meeting underscored the shared interests and collaborative efforts of both nations in addressing critical global challenges and promoting stability in the Middle East.
