Amir of Qatar Arrives in Kuwait for 45th GCC Supreme Council Session

Kuwait City, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, arrived in Kuwait on Sunday to lead Qatar’s delegation at the 45th Session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The high-level summit is set to commence later today in Kuwait City.

Upon his arrival at Kuwait International Airport, HH the Amir and his accompanying delegation were warmly welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait. Joining the reception were His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait; a group of distinguished Kuwaiti ministers; His Excellency Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council; His Excellency Ali bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Ambassador of Qatar to Kuwait; and His Excellency Khaled bin Badr Al Mutairi, Ambassador of Kuwait to Qatar.

Accompanying HH the Amir is His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, along with an official delegation.

The 45th Session of the Supreme Council of the GCC is expected to address key issues of regional and international importance, emphasizing enhanced cooperation among member states to achieve shared goals for stability, development, and prosperity in the Gulf region.
