RAKEZ Strengthens UAE–Italy Business Ties Through Strategic Mission to Milan

Ras Al Khaimah, The Gulf Observer: Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has reaffirmed its role as a key facilitator of international investment and economic collaboration through a successful business mission to Milan, Italy. The mission underscored RAKEZ’s commitment to fostering strong trade and investment ties between the UAE and Europe.
As part of the mission, RAKEZ hosted an exclusive business breakfast in central Milan, convening senior leaders from across Italy’s automotive, engineering, luxury goods, and food and beverage sectors. The event served as a strategic platform to explore opportunities for Italian businesses to expand their presence in the UAE via Ras Al Khaimah’s competitive and investor-friendly ecosystem.
The visit coincided with the third edition of Investopia Europe, where RAKEZ CEO Ramy Jallad participated in high-level discussions on global investment trends, cross-border collaboration, and the future of economic partnerships. His contribution positioned RAKEZ not only as a regional business enabler, but also as a thought leader in shaping the future of investment connectivity between Europe and the Middle East.
“Italian businesses bring world-class expertise, product excellence, and a spirit of innovation—qualities that align closely with the vision we’ve built at RAKEZ,” Jallad stated. “Our goal is to provide them with a platform that’s not only cost-effective and efficient but also built to support their long-term ambitions. From manufacturing to advanced services, we offer the flexibility, infrastructure, and access companies need to scale in the UAE and beyond.”
The business breakfast featured a keynote by Michele Ammirati, Managing Partner at Well Tax and a long-time RAKEZ partner, who provided insights into the UAE’s tax framework and its advantages for European firms seeking regional expansion.
The mission took place at a time of expanding bilateral relations, as UAE–Italy non-oil trade reached US$14.1 billion—marking a 21% increase year-on-year and over 50% growth within five years. Italy is now one of the UAE’s top trading partners within the European Union, with increasing collaboration across future-oriented sectors.
RAKEZ currently supports a diverse community of more than 30,000 companies, including over 600 Italian ventures such as Italfoods, Emainox Kitchen Furniture Manufacturing, Neos Middle East, Siti BT Middle East, and Misano Middle East. These enterprises benefit from RAKEZ’s streamlined set-up processes, scalable facilities, and tailored support services designed to accelerate their regional growth.
By deepening its engagement with Italian industry leaders and participating in global investment platforms, RAKEZ continues to enhance its international footprint and promote Ras Al Khaimah as a vital gateway for companies looking to enter markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
