This year’s theme underscores ASEAN’s collective commitment to building a resilient and prosperous region while fostering greater collaboration amidst evolving global challenges and external pressures.
His Majesty will join regional leaders in high-level discussions aimed at deepening ASEAN’s unity, advancing socio-economic recovery, and enhancing multilateral cooperation.
Key Summits and Agendas
In addition to the core ASEAN Summit, His Majesty is also expected to participate in the 2nd ASEAN-GCC Summit and the ASEAN-GCC-China Summit, both scheduled for May 27. This subregional forum, established in 1994 with the initiative of Brunei Darussalam, continues to focus on accelerating development in remote and less-developed areas.
The BIMP-EAGA Summit will highlight efforts to boost competitive and eco-friendly manufacturing, foster sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture and fisheries, and expand tourism cooperation among member states.
His Majesty’s participation reaffirms Brunei Darussalam’s enduring commitment to ASEAN’s integration agenda, subregional growth, and meaningful partnerships with global partners to ensure lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
