Registration Opens for Liwa International Festival 2025
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Liwa Sports Club has officially opened registration for the Liwa International Festival 2025, scheduled to take place from 13th December 2024 to 4th January 2025 at the iconic Moreeb Dune, the UAE’s highest sand dune.

The festival, renowned as one of Abu Dhabi’s top winter attractions, blends adventure, heritage, and unique experiences against the stunning backdrop of the desert. With over 3,000 athletes and competitors expected, the event continues to cement its reputation as a hub for sports enthusiasts from the UAE and beyond.

This year’s edition promises a packed schedule featuring 16 exhilarating sporting events, including:
- Moreeb Hill Climb Championship: A globally renowned challenge for desert sports enthusiasts.
- Drag Races, Horse and Camel Races: Merging heritage with competitive spirit.
- Freestyle Drift, Burnout, and Sand Drift Championships: Showcasing skill and innovation in desert driving.
- Heritage Sports: Featuring the Falcon Racing Championship and Pigeon Lure Competition.
The festival will also include thrilling Monster Truck exhibitions, the daily Liwa Sand Activities, and more, creating a vibrant mix of tradition and modern sporting excitement.
