Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan Sign Agreement to Enhance Islamic Cooperation

Jeddah, The Gulf Observer: In a significant move to strengthen Islamic cooperation, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance has signed an agreement with Tajikistan’s Committee on Religious Affairs and Regulation of Traditions, Celebrations, and Ceremonies. The agreement was formalized on Thursday in Jeddah by Saudi Arabia’s Islamic Affairs Minister, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, and Sulaimon Davlatzoda, chairman of the Tajik committee.

The agreement aims to foster collaboration in various aspects of Islamic affairs, with a particular focus on promoting a deeper understanding of Islam by highlighting its virtues, tolerance, and stance on contemporary issues. This will be achieved through the exchange of research and scientific books in multiple languages.

Additionally, the two countries have committed to holding joint scientific seminars to train professionals in Islamic affairs, as well as organizing exhibitions to introduce and promote Islamic teachings. This partnership marks a step forward in enhancing religious cooperation and mutual understanding between Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan.
