Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli Escalation in Palestinian Territories

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s ongoing military escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the deliberate targeting of civilians and repeated strikes on shelters housing displaced persons.

In an official statement released on Friday, the Ministry denounced the Israeli army’s deadly attack on Al-Arqam School in Gaza, which was being used as a shelter for displaced individuals. The Kingdom also condemned the targeting and destruction of a warehouse belonging to the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage in the Morag area, east of Rafah. The facility had been storing critical medical supplies intended to aid patients and the injured in Gaza.

The statement expressed deep concern over the continued Israeli aggression and warned that the absence of robust international accountability mechanisms has emboldened Israel to persist in its violations of international law and international humanitarian law.

“The continuation of such crimes without consequences only fuels further violence, intensifies the aggression, and poses a serious threat to both regional and international peace and security,” the Ministry affirmed.

Saudi Arabia reiterated its call on the international community, particularly member states of the United Nations Security Council, to uphold their responsibilities and take immediate, concrete steps to bring an end to the humanitarian tragedy endured by the Palestinian people.

The Kingdom reaffirmed its unwavering support for the rights of the Palestinian people and the need for urgent international action to halt the escalating crisis.
