Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, will lead a high-level delegation representing the Kingdom at the 55th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting, scheduled to take place in Davos, Switzerland, from January 20 to 24.

The Saudi delegation comprises several prominent ministers, including Minister of Commerce Majed Al-Qasabi; Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir; Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih; Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan; Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha; Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, and Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim.

This year’s WEF meeting, under the theme “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” comes at a critical juncture marked by escalating geopolitical tensions, slow global economic growth, the transformative impact of advanced technologies on labor markets, and the urgent need for an inclusive and sustainable energy transition.

During the forum, the Saudi delegation will engage with leaders from governments, private sectors, civil society, and academia to tackle these global challenges and work towards shaping a prosperous and sustainable future. The delegation aims to promote disruptive innovation, unlock human potential, and steer meaningful transitions through collaboration and dialogue on a global scale.

Additionally, the delegation will share insights and achievements from Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, a comprehensive reform agenda designed to foster a resilient, productive, and globally integrated economy.

The Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) will lead the Kingdom’s long-standing partnership with the World Economic Forum. Over the years, this partnership has contributed significantly to addressing global challenges through impactful initiatives.

The 55th WEF Annual Meeting will bring together representatives from more than 100 governments, major international organizations, and over 1,000 key private sector leaders, alongside young change-makers and representatives from civil society and academic institutions.
