Dubai, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan attended the World Governments Summit and the 9th Arab Fiscal Forum, which concluded on Thursday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Al-Jadaan chaired the third session of the Arab Fiscal Forum, titled “Fiscal Policy and Climate Resilience,” engaging with ministers, government officials, and economic experts from around the world. The session delved into the economic repercussions of climate change in the region, addressing financial risks such as debt sustainability challenges faced by heavily indebted countries. Participants also discussed strategies to enhance climate adaptation and resilience, exploring actionable solutions to mitigate the economic costs of environmental shifts.
In addition to his role at the forum, Al-Jadaan participated in a high-level roundtable discussion at the World Governments Summit focused on “Reimagining the Future of Multilateral Cooperation and the Future Fund.” The roundtable served as a platform for global leaders to explore strategies for evolving international cooperation in response to emerging global challenges.
On the sidelines of the summit, Al-Jadaan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on financial cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The MoU, signed in collaboration with UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, is aimed at strengthening the financial partnership between the two nations, marking a milestone in bilateral cooperation.
