Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds talks with PM of Russia in Moscow

Moscow, The Gulf Observer: Today, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is in Moscow on an official visit, held talks with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

The meeting took place at the Coordination Center of the Russian Government.

Current issues on the bilateral economic agenda were discussed.

The President of Uzbekistan welcomed the successful organization and holding of the Third Forum of Interregional Cooperation, resulting in documents worth $3.5 billion being signed between the two countries’ regions.

The primary attention was paid to maintaining the dynamics of trade turnover and enhancing cooperation. A joint Working Group has been created to effectively coordinate work on deepening industrial collaboration.

Issues of joint implementation of projects in the digitalization of healthcare, education, and the introduction of e-commerce in Uzbekistan were discussed.

Vast opportunities for further developing practical partnership between the regions of the two countries and saturation of it with specific projects were noted.

An agreement was reached to organize the exchange of experience in urban planning and renovation of the housing stock.

Following the talks, the President of Uzbekistan invited the Prime Minister of Russia to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan.

The Uzbekistan delegation got acquainted with the activity of the Coordination Center of the Russian Government. Mikhail Mishustin informed the President of Uzbekistan in detail about the activities of this permanent body, created to ensure prompt and coordinated actions of executive authorities.
