Tajikistan and Pakistan Discuss Expansion of Cultural and Academic Cooperation

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On 22 June 2026, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Yusuf Sharifzoda, and the Chairperson of the Pakistan Academy of Letters, Dr. Najeeba Arif.

During the meeting, both sides discussed matters related to strengthening Tajikistan–Pakistan relations, with a particular focus on enhancing cooperation in scientific, literary, and cultural fields, as well as expanding institutional linkages between academic and research organizations of the two countries.

The two sides emphasized the importance of promoting joint scientific and literary initiatives, encouraging exchanges among scholars and writers, and developing collaborative programs aimed at studying and promoting the literary and cultural heritage of both nations.

Both parties underscored that scientific and cultural cooperation remains a key pillar in strengthening bilateral relations and expressed their commitment to further expanding engagement in these areas through sustained dialogue and institutional collaboration.
