President Masoud Pezeshkian to Visit Pakistan for Talks on Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: At the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian will undertake a state visit to Pakistan on Tuesday, accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers and senior officials.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Iranian President will hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and will also have formal talks with the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
During the visit, the Chairman of the Senate, the Speaker of the National Assembly, and the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister will also call on President Pezeshkian.
This will be Dr. Pezeshkian’s second visit to Pakistan in his capacity as President of Iran.
The spokesperson stated that both sides will review the full spectrum of bilateral relations and explore new avenues to enhance cooperation in diverse fields, including trade, energy, border security, people-to-people exchanges, and regional connectivity.
The visit will also provide an opportunity to discuss ongoing diplomatic engagements following the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, alongside regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Foreign Office further emphasized that the upcoming visit reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan and Iran to deepen historic and cultural ties and underscores their common aspiration for peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region.
