Tajikistan, Belarus Discuss Strengthening Interagency Cooperation in Combating Transnational Crime

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Prosecutor General of Tajikistan Habibullo Vohidzoda held a meeting with Prosecutor General of Belarus Dmitry Gora on the sidelines of joint meetings of heads of supervisory bodies of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Kazan, Russia.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Tajikistan, the meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, with both sides expressing satisfaction with the current level of interagency cooperation.

The sides emphasized the need to further strengthen cooperation in combating transnational crime and discussed practical mechanisms for enhancing coordination between the two countries’ prosecutorial authorities.

Particular attention was paid to the regular exchange of professional experience, reciprocal exchange of operational information, and the provision of effective legal assistance in criminal cases.

The officials reaffirmed the importance of continued cooperation and coordination between the relevant authorities of Tajikistan and Belarus in addressing common challenges related to transnational crime.
