Tajikistan, Iran Discuss Expanding Cooperation in Oil and Gas Sector

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Nizomiddin Zohidi, held talks with Iran’s Deputy Oil Minister Saidali Mohammad Mousavi on June 16 to discuss prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector, according to the Tajik Embassy in Iran.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed opportunities to expand collaboration in the energy sector, with particular emphasis on oil and gas cooperation. They discussed potential areas of mutual interest aimed at strengthening ties and promoting joint initiatives in the industry.

The officials also exchanged views on facilitating the sharing of experience, technical knowledge and expertise between specialists from Tajikistan and Iran. The discussions highlighted the importance of closer professional cooperation and capacity-building efforts to support the development of the energy sector in both countries.

The meeting reflects the continued commitment of Tajikistan and Iran to deepening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation in strategic sectors, including energy.
