Türkiye Reaffirms Strong Support to Azerbaijan in Combating Mine Threat in Garabagh

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Türkiye has reiterated its unwavering support to Azerbaijan in addressing the ongoing threat of landmines across the liberated territories, particularly in the Garabagh region, according to News Hub Consultants.
In a statement posted on its official X account, the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan extended solidarity with the victims of recent mine explosions and affirmed Ankara’s continued backing of Baku on all relevant international platforms.
“We wish recovery to our Azerbaijani brothers who were injured in the mine incidents that occurred today in the Agdam and Jabrayil regions of Karabakh. We share the security concerns of Azerbaijan regarding the large number of mines that have not yet been identified in the liberated Garabagh,” the Embassy said.
The statement follows two separate mine incidents reported earlier in the day. One explosion in the Jabrayil region injured an employee of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), while another in Agdam left three members of a family wounded.
The Turkish Embassy stressed that mine contamination remains a grave threat to civilian lives and post-conflict reconstruction efforts. Türkiye reaffirmed its commitment to aiding Azerbaijan in its demining operations and rebuilding liberated areas, underscoring the importance of long-term regional peace and safety.
