Turkmen President begins visit to Türkiye

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in the Republic of Türkiye on Wednesday for the first time on an official visit, official Turkmen media reports.

The Turkmen leader was welcomed at Ankara’s Esenboga International Airport by Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar and other Turkish officials.

During the discussion between the Turkmen President and the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye, it was recognized that the existing cooperation between the two friendly nations has been progressing successfully across various sectors.

The Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources said that the current visit of the head of state will be a new important step in further developing relations between Turkmenistan and Türkiye based on friendship, mutual respect and equality.

Following the official reception, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s vehicle departed from the airport to proceed to the state reception arranged for him during his official visit to Türkiye. Additionally, it is anticipated that President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan will engage in high-level bilateral talks on October 26, 2023. The discussions will focus on further expanding and enhancing Turkmen-Turkish cooperation across significant areas.

Within the framework of the visit, a Turkmen-Turkish business forum aimed at further development of mutually beneficial interstate cooperation will be held on October 26. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is expected to attend the opening ceremony of the forum.
