Turkmenistan and ADNOC Discuss Joint Oil and Gas Projects

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The leadership of the Türkmennebit State Concern of Turkmenistan met on Wednesday with a high-level delegation led by Dipesh Meazurian, Vice President of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), alongside representatives from Petronas Charigali Sdn. Bhd. The meeting focused on exploring new joint ventures aimed at boosting hydrocarbon production and processing in Turkmenistan, according to official reports from Turkmenistan’s state media.
Held at the Central Building of the Turkmenistan Oil and Gas Complex, the discussions centered on modernizing the country’s oil and gas infrastructure and enhancing the export capacity of Turkmen oil and gas. Both parties identified additional opportunities for cooperation in the oil and gas sector, with a particular emphasis on long-term projects to increase production efficiency.
Turkmenistan, with its substantial oil and gas reserves and political stability, continues to attract international investment, making it a key player in the global energy market. The visit underscores the country’s appeal for long-term strategic partnerships in the energy sector.
In a related development, Sanjar Zharakeshov, Chairman of the Board of QazaqGaz, met with Mohammed Al-Ariani, Executive Vice President of ADNOC, to discuss geological studies and potential collaboration between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. The discussions highlighted the importance of joint research and development initiatives in the region.
