Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan Foreign Ministers Hold Cooperation Talks
Astana, The Gulf Observer: In a significant diplomatic engagement, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, Rashid Meredov and Murat Nurtleu, respectively, convened in Astana to discuss a broad spectrum of bilateral cooperation. This meeting, reported by the Information and International Cooperation Center (IIC) of Turkmenistan, underscored the commitment of both nations to deepen their strategic partnership across various sectors.
During the negotiations, Meredov and Nurtleu explored avenues for collaboration in political, trade and economic, transport and transit, energy, and cultural and humanitarian spheres. A detailed schedule for upcoming international summits was also agreed upon, reflecting a proactive approach to future engagements.
Highlighting the cultural ties between the two countries, Minister Nurtleu congratulated Minister Meredov on the successful hosting of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan. He also lauded the inauguration of a monument dedicated to the esteemed Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi in Astana, symbolizing the deep-rooted cultural connections between the nations.
This high-level meeting follows the recent visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, to Kazakhstan on July 4. The National Leader of the Turkmen people delivered a speech at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus (SCO+) meeting and participated in the opening ceremony of the Magtymguly monument in Astana, further reinforcing the historical and cultural bonds between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
This series of diplomatic activities marks a new chapter in Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan relations, promising enhanced cooperation and mutual growth in the years to come.
