Turkmenistan, Ukraine Reaffirm Commitment to Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Rashid Meredov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, held talks with Viktor Maiko on May 24, 2026, to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional engagement.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed current issues of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Ukraine in the political, diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The discussions also focused on strengthening mutually beneficial partnership and expanding cooperation across various sectors of common interest.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further developing friendly relations between the two countries at the bilateral level as well as within international organisations, particularly the United Nations.
The meeting underscored the importance both countries attach to maintaining constructive dialogue and enhancing cooperation in support of regional and international stability.
