UAE and Chile Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a phone conversation with Alberto van Klaveren, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Chile, to discuss bilateral relations and explore ways to enhance them for the mutual benefit of both countries and their peoples.
During the call, the ministers reviewed various aspects of joint cooperation, particularly in economic, trade, investment, and renewable energy sectors. They focused on developing these areas further, especially following the recent announcement that the two countries have completed negotiations on a comprehensive economic partnership agreement.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to establishing strong and growing cooperative relations with Chile and other Latin American countries. He emphasized that such partnerships are crucial for supporting joint efforts to achieve comprehensive development and sustainable economic prosperity.
Additionally, the ministers discussed recent developments in the Middle East and the efforts of the international community to reach a sustainable ceasefire in the region. They also emphasized the importance of enhancing humanitarian responses to meet the needs of civilians in the Gaza Strip.
